Junior League of Chattanooga is committed to maintaining our promise of good stewardship, which begins with transparency, openness, and a proactive approach to sharing the direct impact of the contributions we receive. Currently, we are working with community partners throughout Hamilton County to address and solve pressing issues within their organizations and fulfill their missions. Your contributions help our progress build momentum. 

Our Impact and Contributions: 

• During the 2024-2025 League year, JLC’s Community Engagement Council selected over 5 new partner organizations through our Community Partnership Application to serve our community and support our League of Learners initiative.  

• JLC established a monthly partnership with both MOMentum and Young Lives nonprofit organizations that empower young moms to pursue their education goals to achieve economic success and independence. The women of JLC provide monthly meals for these women as part of their support and volunteer on an as needed basis.  

• Together with Community Partner The GLOW Together Foundation, JLC provided over 30 Blessing Bags to benefit the women and children of Room in the Inn and Isaiah House 117 who are facing homelessness or awaiting foster care placement.  

• Our Holiday pajama drive benefitted the children and mothers of MOMentum and Young Lives.  

• Through our partnership with Dress for Success Chattanooga, we are providing professional attire and virtual resume and interview prep for women entering and reentering the workforce. 

• Community Engagement represents JLC in quarterly Signal Centers meetings as part of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Advisory Committee. 

• JLC continues to support Hamilton County teachers and schools through our Mini Grants program and our monthly item drives to support the Hamilton County Teacher Store. This year, $20,000 was awarded in mini grants and we had over 60 applications! 

• Community Engagement has teamed up with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging to provide Park Meet Ups free of charge with healthy snack demonstrations and festive crafts.  

• The Community Engagement Council currently restocks and maintains 6 Little Free Libraries around Chattanooga with the help of Read 20.

Consider a donation to the Wright Hospitality Fund.  

We established Wright Hospitality Fund in 2023 to honor the son of one of our Sustaining Members after a personal family tragedy. Named after Janet and Acacia Wright, the fund is dedicated to supporting and uplifting our members who may be facing challenging times, personal loss, or joyful occasions. Donate to this fund HERE.
